Introductory Letter from the Fundraising Chair

 

Looking to volunteer time or donate to Redmond Toddler Group (RTG)?  Here’s how you can help!

 

Like any school, Toby School can always use your help!  If you would like to donate time and/or money to RTG or if you like to shop online and would be interested in using this activity to help RTG out, keep reading!  If you’re not sure who to contact, check with your teacher, parent leader, or any other board member!

 

Remember Redmond Toddler is a 501(c)(3) [non-profit] organization and all donations are tax deductable!  Cash donations and volunteer hour credits are always welcome.

Books from Scholastic Books

· Order books online or using the order forms provided at class.  RTG gets “points” that we use for classroom books and carnival prizes, you get great books for your family.  Books will be delivered to RTG.  Your class user name is Redmondtoddlergroup and the password is books.  For ease of sorting please replace your first name with the teacher’s first name when you check out.

Merchant Contributions for shopping from SchoolPop.com

· Shop online with SchoolPop’s merchant partners and/or make everyday purchases with registered cards to earn quarterly contributions for Redmond Toddler Group when you select us as the beneficiary.

Toys from Megan’s Toy Box

· Megan’s Toy Box donates 10% of the purchase price to Redmond Toddler Group for every purchase made using the above link.

 

Social Fundraising

· Please see the calendar for current “dine-out” opportunities.  A “dine-out” event is one where we partner with a local eating establishment for an evening.  Families who choose to participate bring a flier with them to the restaurant at a specific date and time (usually a weekday evening) they enjoy a meal and RTG gets a donation from the business based on purchases made.

 

Volunteers Needed

Parent Leaders

· All classes have a parent leader who helps with the routine classroom paperwork and communications (reminders, RSVPs, tracking attendance) please contact the registrar if you’re interested in this position.

2008-09 Board Openings

· Fundraising Chair—is responsible for all of the fundraising that goes on in RTG throughout the year. The fundraising chair can put together his or her own plan for the year.  Note: we are not budgeting for a large raffle  in 2008-09 so you can choose if you want to run one.

· Toby Times Editor—is responsible for creating and distributing the monthly newsletter for RTG.

· Treasurer-deals with the financial aspect of RTG which includes collecting and depositing tuition checks and balancing the books. He or she is also responsible for paying bills, preparing an annual budget and ensuring that the group remains on budget.
